Are there internship opportunities for students while they are pursuing their degree?

Students can gain valuable experience in an internship that is closely related to their desired career field. Internships are available with the help of the career services office in every degree program.

What services are provided from career services for current students and graduates?

Vaughn College's career services department employs a variety of tools to assist students and alumni in their development as professionals. The department meets and communicates with individuals through appointments, e-mail and phone conversations, providing information, editing and reviewing resumes and helping with the job and internship search process. It implements weekly workshops on resume writing, interviewing skills and job fair etiquette. It organizes job fairs in the fall and spring, each with 40-plus companies, and a graduate school fair in the winter. The department also networks with companies on behalf of Vaughn students for job and internship opportunities. It manages a private job board website, Vaughn Career Connect, where students and alumni can post resumes and apply for positions. Employers registered on the site can post jobs as well as search and review student and alumni resumes for potential candidates for open positions.

Is part-time employment information available?

Part-time employment is available for students through various companies that have a relationship with Vaughn.

How often do recruiters comes to campus?

Recruiters regularly visit Vaughn for career services events such as career fairs. They make presentations, speak to students in classroom settings, hold workshops and interview students for job and internship positions. In 2010-2011, recruiters made about 25 visits to the campus.
