Non-Faculty Positions Full-Time Food Service Workers
Vaughn College is currently seeking full-time food service workers for its Mercado Café. These individuals are responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, daily lunch and diner, as well as performing stock and cleaning duties in the cafeteria.

Faculty Positions Full-time Faculty Position Electronic Engineering Technology – Avionics Concentration
Vaughn
College seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position within
its bachelor of science in electronic engineering technologies program with an
avionics concentration. This degree program is housed within the engineering
and engineering technology department at Vaughn. With nearly 1,500 students, Vaughn has seen rapid growth
over the last two years and is in the process of a complete campus renovation. Vaughn specifically seeks faculty who
will provide active engagement with students both inside and outside the
classroom, and a desire to assist students in achieving their academic goals. Vaughn College is designated as a
Hispanic-Serving Institution by the US Department of Education and is one of
the most diverse institutions in the country.
Specific
responsibilities will include: teaching
lecture and laboratory undergraduate courses in the electronic engineering
technology program-avionics concentration; provide leadership and support for
the with electronics and avionics laboratories; advise electronic engineering
technology students and serve on department/college committees; participate in
scholarly activities such as working with students to present and publish
papers related to avionics/electronics at professional journals and
conferences.; design courses that support the student learning outcomes
outlined by the department; assess student performance throughout the course
and program using the Vaughn College faculty course assessment model.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses
in electrical circuits, microprocessors, aircraft communications, navigation systems, control systems, radar and Pulse
systems.
Qualifications: A PhD in
appropriate field is preferred. Experience in the avionics field is highly
desirable. Those with only a master's degree must demonstrate significant
professional experience in this field and have a desire to continue their
education. Teaching experience is also preferred.

Engineering and Engineering Technology Department Faculty Position
Vaughn College seeks applicants for a full-time,

department. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in Vaughn's bachelor
of science in mechanical engineering technology program and the bachelor of
science in mechatronic engineering program. With nearly 1,500 students,

and engineering technology laboratories.

courses that support the student learning outcomes outlined by the department; and
assess student performance throughout the course and program using the Vaughn
College faculty course assessment model.
The successful candidate is
expected to teach undergraduate courses in thermal science, solid mechanics and
computer aided design (CAD). Special consideration will be given to those
candidates with strong background in CAD/CAM/CAE using computer software such
as CATIA, Solid Edge, Solid Work, PATRAN-NASTRAN, etc.
Qualifications: A PhD
in appropriate field is preferred. Experience in mechanical engineering,
mechatronics, solid modeling and robotics is highly desirable. Industrial and
teaching experiences also preferred.

International Adjunct Teaching Positions
Avionics: Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach three-week sessions at Vaughn’s additional location in Hyderabad, India. The three-week instruction sessions will be offered from 2009 through 2010. The faculty will be responsible to teach 20 hours of lecture and 45 lab hours during the three weeks, which will be followed by 10 hours of instruction online. Applicants must have a graduate degree in electronics/ avionics, doctoral degree preferred. Related industrial experience is required. Prior teaching experience including online courses is a plus. Teaching responsibilities will be primarily in avionics courses such as aircraft communications, navigation systems, radar systems etc. Attractive compensation along with travel and boarding expenses will be provided. Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US.
