Distance Education
Bringing the College Classroom to You…
with Teleconferencing Technology
The College's Teleconference Program provides direct instruction through technology that originates from Vaughn College and is delivered to conference rooms at several company locations.
In this format, students will have two-way audio and visual contact with professors throughout each course. Face- to- face classes are delivered on a daily basis right to the workplace, eliminating the need to travel off site. And, the classes are conveniently scheduled around the work shifts of the employees. The partnering companies must, however, provide the needed technical support to allow teleconferencing to take place.
This program is ideal for those who hold, or plan to obtain, an airframe and powerplant certificate (A&P). This Federal Aviation Administration certified program provides 30 college credits toward the (AAS) associates in applied science or bachelor of science (BS) degree in aviation maintenance or aviation maintenance management. For those without the A&P, we offer a BS degree in general management.
Twelve-week trimesters are offered in the Fall, Winter and late Spring. Two, six-week sessions are held each summer. Students may participate in an accelerated Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Maintenance or Aviation Maintenance Management or the Online Associates in Aviation Maintenance.
Our corporate education partner, United Technologies Corporation offers their employees the opportunity to earn a degree through the Employee Scholar Program. This excellent program provides employee tuition reimbursement, books, paid study time and other financial incentives. More information is available on the web at the UTC Learning portal.
The Boeing Company also participates in our teleconference program. Information is available through Boeing's Learning Together program.
