Vaughn offers a variety of associate degree programs in aviation that enable our graduates to land exciting positions in virtually all facets of the aviation industry.
Combining the theory and practical application needed to begin a career as a commercial pilot, this highly competitive program enables students to obtain the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot Certificate. While flight training can be pursued at the flight school of the student's choice, flight simulation training, pilot ground school and flight laboratories are conducted on campus by our highly qualified faculty.
Designed to provide the skills our graduates need to pursue careers in aircraft maintenance, manufacturing and related industries, this two-year program balances theoretical study and practical hands-on laboratory experience with a broad background in arts and sciences. It also includes maintenance overhaul and modification techniques, manufacturing practices and computer applications. Students are required to hold the Federal Aviation Administration's Airframe and Powerplant certificate before enrolling in this program. This program also is available online as part of our Distance Learning curriculum.
