The Aviation Training Institute, a division of Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, is dedicated to excellence in aviation technical education for air carrier, corporate, general aviation, and groups of individuals that have a need for initial or recurrent training on aircraft, engines, avionics, and particular specialty skills required in the aircraft maintenance environment. At the Institute, the Aviation Maintenance Certificate Program enables students to earn their airframe and powerplant (A&P) certificate in as few as 16 months, thus reducing the time required to complete this program by one year. Through the Aviation Maintenance Certificate Program, students complete intensive blocks of technical courses in four 15-week consecutive terms to prepare for A&P certification. They will learn to successfully install, assemble, build, diagnose and maintain multi-million dollar high-tech equipment and systems that power today's most advanced aircraft.
