Vaughn College offers eight intercollegiate sports programs that play in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (http://hviac.net). As of the 2013-2014 fiscal year, Vaughn College became a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, which allows our athletics teams to compete on a national level (http://www.theuscaa.com/landing/index). These programs were established to provide athletic opportunities for Vaughn students to play against a variety of colleges in the metropolitan region, including National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III programs and other Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference participants.
Known as the Warriors, each team—Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Soccer, Men's and Women's Cross Country and Men's and Women's Tennis—is specifically tailored to the needs of the student body and designed to help students develop physical fitness, mental health, good nutrition, competitiveness and leadership skills while enhancing a healthy spirit of fair play and team unity. For more information about all the teams, contact Ricky McCollum, director of athletics, fitness and wellness, at 1.866.6VAUGHN, ext. 314 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
