Transfer students, domestic or international, who have completed post-secondary coursework at an accredited college or university, within or outside the United States, may apply for either the fall, spring or summer semester. Adult and non-traditional students who hold a high school diploma, G.E.D., or the international equivalent to an American high school diploma may also apply for either the fall, spring or summer semester.

All students may take courses during the day, evening, or on Saturdays. A number of degree programs may be completed by only attending courses in the evenings/Saturdays, and through online coursework, however not all degree programs at the College are offered fully in the evening/weekends. If the degree program you select is not offered fully in the evening, you may need to take some course work during the day. Please consult with an admissions counselor in order to determine which course of study is right for you.

Admissions Requirements

SAT scores are only required when a student has been out of high school for under five calendar years or has successfully completed fewer than 24 college credits. Students who have been out of school for over 5 years might be placed in an associate degree program for their first academic semester. Once the student demonstrates academic proficiency, they will be accepted to a bachelor's degree program.

Deadlines

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and full consideration will be given to all applications received before the first day of classes for the semester in question.

Advanced Placement and CLEP Credit

The College also accepts Advanced Placement (AP) and Credit by Examination, like the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). College credit can be granted for AP scores of 3 or higher. College credit is granted for satisfactory CLEP scores achieved on exams covering material offered in similar courses at Vaughn College. Granting of college credit for satisfactory AP and CLEP scores are subject to review from the appropriate academic departments. Students seeking advanced standing credit based on these exams must submit official score reports to the office of admissions.
