Summer Aviation Awareness Institute Summer Program
This is a four-week exploration program for approximately 50 high school students to gain knowledge and experience in various aspects of the aviation and technology industries. The program runs Monday through Friday, and every Thursday students go on industry-related field trips. The program includes courses in: Introduction to Aeronautics, Flight Dispatch/ Basic Air Traffic Control, Robotics, Flight Simulator Instruction, Auto-Cad, Photoshop, and Basic Electronic Circuits. Students who successfully complete the Summer Institute earn a recognition award, one high school service credit and are eligible for scholarships at Vaughn College.
Students attending any NYC High School are eligible.
