Goals of Assessment Committee

Assist in developing assessment procedures that meet accepted standards for data collection and analysis.
Coordinate institutional assessment activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Coordinate the preparation of assessment reports for submission to internal and external constituents.
Develop and implement a college-wide assessment plan.
Develop and recommend college-wide assessment policies and procedures.
Document assessment processes and serve as a clearinghouse for assessment information.
Educate the community about the purpose, practice, and process of assessment.
Establish minimum standards for assessment practices.
Make assessment an integral part of the campus culture.
Pilot rollout of assessment plan to prioritized academic and administrative departments.
Provide leadership and assistance in developing and overseeing a program of evaluation and feedback to enhance the effectiveness of the College.
Recommend actions to integrate assessment with College planning.
Recommend appropriate actions to respond to federal, state, and accreditation agency requirements for assessment.
Review assessment procedures for consistency with college goals and objectives.
Stay current on research literature and accepted practice in the areas of assessment and institutional research.
