Goals of Assessment Committee
- Assist in developing assessment procedures that meet accepted standards for data collection and analysis.
- Coordinate institutional assessment activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Coordinate the preparation of assessment reports for submission to internal and external constituents.
- Develop and implement a college-wide assessment plan.
- Develop and recommend college-wide assessment policies and procedures.
- Document assessment processes and serve as a clearinghouse for assessment information.
- Educate the community about the purpose, practice, and process of assessment.
- Establish minimum standards for assessment practices.
- Make assessment an integral part of the campus culture.
- Pilot rollout of assessment plan to prioritized academic and administrative departments.
- Provide leadership and assistance in developing and overseeing a program of evaluation and feedback to enhance the effectiveness of the College.
- Recommend actions to integrate assessment with College planning.
- Recommend appropriate actions to respond to federal, state, and accreditation agency requirements for assessment.
- Review assessment procedures for consistency with college goals and objectives.
- Stay current on research literature and accepted practice in the areas of assessment and institutional research.
