Goals of Assessment Committee
  • Assist in developing assessment procedures that meet accepted standards for data collection and analysis.
  • Coordinate institutional assessment activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Coordinate the preparation of assessment reports for submission to internal and external constituents.
  • Develop and implement a college-wide assessment plan.
  • Develop and recommend college-wide assessment policies and procedures.
  • Document assessment processes and serve as a clearinghouse for assessment information.
  • Educate the community about the purpose, practice, and process of assessment.
  • Establish minimum standards for assessment practices.
  • Make assessment an integral part of the campus culture.
  • Pilot rollout of assessment plan to prioritized academic and administrative departments.
  • Provide leadership and assistance in developing and overseeing a program of evaluation and feedback to enhance the effectiveness of the College.
  • Recommend actions to integrate assessment with College planning.
  • Recommend appropriate actions to respond to federal, state, and accreditation agency requirements for assessment.
  • Review assessment procedures for consistency with college goals and objectives.
  • Stay current on research literature and accepted practice in the areas of assessment and institutional research.
